A MIXER EVENT FOR BLACK SOCIALITES, CREATORS, INFLUENCERS & PROFESSIONAL IN GREATER NYC AREA

WHAT IS IT?

KickbackCollective is a black professionals mixer that gathers black socialites, creators, and influencers around the greater New York City area. Over the past 3 years it has become a networking event that has become beloved.
The goal is to help those that come to not only have a good time in a relaxed stress free environment, but encourage them to build new connections & foster new relationships that will most likely be fruitful.

MY ROLE IN PROJECT:

EVENT COORDINATOR/PLANNER - Organized and executed large-scale social mixer consistently drawing around 300 attendees. Assigned and managed roles (photography, videography, additional music curators, etc)

MARKETING & PROMOTION - The approach is Exclusive Niche Targeting. Our target audience is successful black millennial professionals, socialites, creators, and influencers, that are entertainment industry focused. While a small group are marketed to via social media. Most attendees are part of a selected list. It's purposely marketed as a social and career impactful event to expand your network. People are encouraged to come together, to network and intentionally establish connections. Interactive dynamic way for music curation

EXPERIENCE CURATOR - Early on, we put a lot of work into building an atmosphere that would be memorable to the attendees. We picked a standout beautiful location that was under utilized. We setup games for people to enjoy when they need a break from being in the mix. Spades table, Flip cup, Double Dutch. The sound of socializing chatter, backgrond music, and the NYC bridge and building views, it leads to a very memorable experience. One that people genuinely rave about.

BRAND IDENTITY & RECOGNITION - 50-60% of attendees are returning after a previous KickbackCollective event. It's because of the atmosphere that we have promoted as our identity. A demand for these functions have developed. People frequently are requesting new functions to be thrown. We typically get the most requests during special NYC weekends. Ex-Fashion Week, 4th Of July Weekend, etc.
